WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?
A sound bath, also known as a sound meditation, is a frequency based treatment rooted in physics. During a sound bath, instruments that generate certain frequencies are used to trigger sympathetic vibration. In physics, this is known as the law of resonance. As a participant, you simply sit or lie and receive.
FOR YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM…
Sound is received by the body as electricity. We are inundated with chaotic electrical signals, which creates “noise “ in the nervous system. We recognize this as stress and anxiety. The coherent sound waves feed your brain a consistent electrical signal, switching on your parasympathetic nervous system, and allowing your body to rest, repair, and regenerate.
FOR YOUR SOUL….
Sound is the language of the universe. Everything vibrates, everything has a sound. A sound bath assists you with dropping in to a deep state of meditation. This space holds infinite potential for profound healing of mind, body, and soul. Reconnect with your timeless self and experience who you really are.
IN THIS WORKSHOP…
Kristen will share how to use sound for improved health & wellness and expanded consciousness. We will dive into the basics of frequency, vibration and resonance and explore the energetic pattern found in all of nature, which directly correlates to our musical scale.
During the sound bath, Kristen will utilize crystal singing bowls tuned to the 7 chakra frequencies, a Tibetan singing bowl, a gong, cymbals, and an ocean drum. This assists you in dropping into a deep state of meditation, allowing your body to shift away from stress, and begin its innate healing.
After 8 years in the recording and performing industry, Kristen moved into the wellness world and began studying massage, unified physics, and sound. Her sound therapy practice brings together her experience and knowledge, and is rooted in the science/spirituality connection.
WHAT TO BRING…
1. A friend! We offer a discount when you purchase 2 tickets.
2. Yoga mat. This is what you’ll be lying on during the sound bath.
3. Bolsters/blankets. Or whatever you need to help you lie comfortably on your yoga mat for an hour.
4. Water. Sound travels 3 times faster in water than air, so the more hydrated you are, the more affective the sound bath will be.
