Animal Partnership is the relationship we have with the animals around us. In this class we will discuss the relationship we have with the animals that are part of our lives and improve our understanding and interactions with them. This will include a perspective of how animals think, feel, perceive, and react to the things around them.
When they think what does that mean? Do they problem solve? How far back do they remember? Do they hold grudges or place blame? Everyone who has lived with any animal knows they have opinions. How do they show them and why show them in that manner? Is there something I don’t want them to tell anyone else? Is it safe to use someone else to communicate with them?
What kinds of feelings do they have? How do they show their feelings? What kinds of reactions can we expect to see? How can we support them and their feelings? What can I do as their human to support them in feeling safe and secure?
Their perception of the world around them is the same as and very different from ours. What does that mean and how does it affect their actions and reactions?
Why do they react to certain things around them? Do they make decisions based on what they see, hear, or their history in similar situations? How can I support a positive reaction?
These ideas and more aspects, determined by participants both human and animal, will be discussed. (Sorry, no live animals will be present!)
This class is a standalone or preparation for the Animal Communication Class in June.
